Frequently Asked Questions

Is SSHive really free?

Yes. The free version includes the SSH terminal, the SFTP file manager (uploads up to 10 MB), 2 simultaneous sessions, 5 saved profiles, 1 local SSH tunnel, and the OTP authenticator. No account, no trial, no time limit.

What do I get with Pro?

Pro unlocks unlimited sessions and profiles, RDP, VNC, unlimited SSH tunnels (remote -R and SOCKS5 -D included), broadcast mode, the MCP server for AI integration, jump hosts, shared accounts, export/import, session logging, and all themes. It's a one-time purchase on the Mac App Store.

Can I upgrade later?

Absolutely. Start with the free version and upgrade to Pro anytime from the Mac App Store. Your profiles and settings carry over seamlessly.

Is there a subscription?

No. SSHive Pro is a one-time purchase of $9.99 (launch offer, instead of $19.99). You pay once and own it forever. No recurring fees.

Do I need an account?

No. SSHive works completely offline with no account required. Your data stays on your machine, secured by the macOS Keychain.

After updating, the app says I am back on Free. What do I do?

A small number of users see this happen the first time the app launches after an update, because the StoreKit receipt has not been refreshed yet. The fix is one tap: open Settings, Subscription / Purchases, and tap "Restore Purchases". Pro comes right back, and it does not cost anything (you are not buying it a second time, Apple is simply re-confirming your previous purchase). A permanent fix is on the roadmap so the restore is no longer needed. If restoring does not bring Pro back, email contact@netmesafe.com with your App Store country and we will check on our side.
