Shared accounts

Pro

A shared account is one user and one password, saved once and used by several servers. When the password changes you change it in one place. Handy for a Windows domain account, or a common administration account.

By Lucas Russo, developer of SSHive · Updated

  1. Open Shared Accounts: the sidebar button, the Identities column of the welcome screen, or Settings > Accounts.
  2. New Account: Account name, for example Admin production, then Username, Domain if there is one, and Password.
  3. In a server's form, the Account field: pick that account. The Username and Password fields disappear, and a line confirms which user and domain will be used.

Applies to SSHive 2.0.6 on Mac
