Terminal

Record a session (log)

Pro

For an audit, a handover, or a report of what you actually did on a machine.

By Lucas Russo, developer of SSHive · Updated

  1. In the terminal toolbar, Start logging. The button turns red and the file's path is copied to the clipboard.
  2. Work as usual: everything shown is written into the file, as text, each line timestamped.
  3. Stop logging to finish. The end of the session stops it too.

The logs are managed in Settings > General: Log Directory, the default folder or one you choose, and Manage logs, to export them, copy their path or delete them.

Applies to SSHive 2.0.6 on Mac
