iCloud sync
Pro
Your profiles and shared accounts follow your iCloud account on your Mac, iPhone and iPad. The profiles travel through the private database of your iCloud; the passwords, passphrases and private keys through the iCloud keychain, which Apple encrypts end to end. No NetMeSafe server is involved.

- Open Settings > iCloud Sync.
- Tick Enable iCloud sync.
- Check iCloud account: Connected.
The sync happens on its own, roughly every minute, when you come back to the window and after every change. Sync now runs it on demand.
What travels
- Your profiles: host, port, user, key, start-up command, tunnels, jump hosts, RDP domain, tags and folders.
- Your shared accounts.
- Your passwords, passphrases and private keys, through the iCloud keychain, which Apple encrypts end to end.
What stays on the device
- The settings, the quick commands, the fingerprints of the servers, the OTP vault.
- The history and the session logs.
- For each server: its exclusion from the assistant, and the SSH agent and the agent key chosen for it.
- A private key over 2560 bytes (RSA 3072 and 4096), which stays on the Mac and which SSHive says so about. It is the one reason to prefer Ed25519 when you work on several devices.
Applies to SSHive 2.0.6 on Mac, iPhone and iPad
