The remote desktop will not open
Most of these answers are on the Windows machine or on the VNC server, not in SSHive.

RDP (Windows)
| Message | What to do |
|---|---|
| Invalid credentials (username or password incorrect) | SSHive asks for the password again; check the Domain as well |
| CredSSP authentication failed - check username, password and domain | The same; for a local account, leave the domain empty or put the name of the PC |
| User does not have the right to connect to Remote Desktop | Add the account to the "Remote Desktop Users" group on the PC |
| Account disabled, Account expired, Password expired, or a locked account | To be settled on the PC, or by whoever administers the domain |
| Password change required before connection | Change it from another machine, then connect again |
| Connection timeout exceeded | Is Remote Desktop turned on? The Windows firewall (port 3389)? |
| A message saying the certificate of the PC changed since the last connection | See the identity of the PC |
| A frozen or stuttering image | Hover the fps pill; try the Low quality; send us what it says |
VNC
| Message | What to do |
|---|---|
| A message saying the server wants a username as well as a password | Fill Username in, in the server |
| The password refused 3 times | Enter password again; check the capitals |
| VNC security warning | The server changed its identity or its method; if you reconfigured it yourself, Update and continue |
| "Connecting to VNC…" that never ends | Test Connection in the form says which method the server asks for |
Applies to SSHive 2.0.6 on Mac
