Jump hosts

To reach a server that is only accessible through another one, a bastion, the way ssh -J does it.
By Lucas Russo, developer of SSHive · Updated
- First create an SSH connection for the bastion,
bastion.example.com, and check that it works. - Edit the server you want to reach, Advanced options, Jump Chain (multi-hop).
- Add hop, and choose the bastion. Add further steps if you need them, up to 5; Move up and Move down change the order.
- The preview shows the path,
bastion → internal. Save.

Each step connects with its own user and its own authentication. The status bar shows how many hops are in use. When it fails, the message says which step failed.
